Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY; born 17 March 1998), known professionally as Grimes she is an Canadian musician and singer/songwriter as well as a record producer. The first work she did was described as moving into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. It has also included influences from electronic music, hip hop, as well as rock. She often uses science fiction and feminist themes within the lyrics. She has released five studio albums. Grimes was raised in Vancouver and later moved to Montreal. She began her independently-based music career in the mid decade. In 2010, she released two albums on Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. Following her signing with 4AD, she rose in the charts through Visions which was her third studio album. Visions includes the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion". It was also winner of the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. Art Angels, her fourth studio record, was released in the year 2015. Several publications called it the most successful album. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album in the studio. Grimes was also an actor and judge in Alter Ego's competitions for music, played a part as a vocalist for Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in 2020. Grimes Grimes Grimes
